Important Information on Time Regulation - In the case of a throw-in in the backcourt, the 24-second system is reset to 24 seconds. For a throw-in in the frontcourt, the system is reset as follows: If the system shows 14 seconds or more at the time of the game interruption, the displayed remaining time of the 24-second period remains. If the system shows 13 seconds or less at the time of the game interruption, the system is set to 14 seconds.
With 24-second regulation since 2014, FIBA has decided to change some basketball rules. Among other things, the 24-second rule has been further tightened. Therefore, there will no longer be 24 seconds of shot clock for an offensive rebound, but only 14 seconds going forward. This means a change in the use of the 24-second systems. One must now be able to set the shot clock to 24 or 14 seconds at any time during the game using 2 separate buttons. The new generation of Stramatel 24-second systems has been designed to accommodate these changes.
