When we launched SRAM RED in 2012, there was simply nothing we could improve upon. SRAM RED was brand new, completely redesigned, and packed with innovations that we had announced in the previous year and that had proven themselves with riders. It was filled with features and benefits tailored to the needs of professionals: fast, lightweight, aerodynamic, ergonomic, nearly silent, and of course, trim-free thanks to the groundbreaking Yaw technology. The only necessary improvement was undoubtedly to add two more gears to the combination. This now offers the additional advantage of providing a system that shifts incredibly quickly in the front without adding more weight and has the best and smoothest gear transitions in the back.
