SRAM's new RED rear derailleur gives you exactly the performance advantage you've come to expect from SRAM. The rear derailleur has a longer cage and a slightly modified geometry and is called "mid-cage" rear derailleur. It is used for cassettes with a large transmission ratio. This system offers a wider transmission ratio range than a standard system with three chainrings and saves a good 250 grams in weight compared to a conventional system with three chainrings.
We have paid particular attention to the small details, such as adding a hollow titanium fastening screw and an even more precise tooth geometry of the gears. From now on the chain runs smoother and quieter than ever before thanks to the new RED rear derailleur.
