When the Maven saw the light of day in the MTB world at the beginning of 2024, it probably came as a shock to the competition: never before had there been so much potential braking power. But can the apparent power of the monstrous-looking four-piston caliper still be finely dosed on the trail?

Product details
Modern mountain bikes have redefined the limits of riders and further increased the demands on braking power in the direction of extreme duty. The Maven is our answer to this development - it gives you the inner strength and self-confidence that only comes from maximum safety. This is the only way to achieve the ever-increasing speeds and additional control that extreme terrain demands. DirectLink is built into the Maven Base brake levers, which means that every input from the rider is expressed in a smooth but direct power delivery. Thanks to the stiff brake caliper with 4-way bolting, which can dissipate a lot of heat, the ride feel remains constant so that the last corner of the descent feels just like the first. With so much braking power available, there are more options than ever before to tune the ride characteristics exactly how you want them with different brake pads and disc sizes. The Maven Base has a black anodised finish on a sandblasted surface and features a tool-free grip width adjustment to facilitate customisation.
Four 18 mm brake pistons for real extreme-duty braking power.
Organic pads as standard for the best modulation and squeal-free riding.
Tool-free grip width adjustment.
Mineral oil for low maintenance and optimum performance.
The brake calliper has a bleeding edge connection for easy, drip-free maintenance.
