Organic brake pads with steel or aluminum carriers for Avid Trail or Sram Guide disc brakes. Brake pads with an organic compound offer better modulation than metallic ones, but provide less braking power and wear out slightly faster. The noise generated in wet conditions and the thermal load on the brake is lower than with metallic pads.
