When it comes to shifting, riders have requested more gear range and smaller jumps between gears. To address this, SRAM had to redesign the drivetrain with Deep Range. The SRAM Force crankset features smaller chainrings with a consistent 13-tooth spacing between both size variants, providing a more modern gear gradation and improved shifting performance. X-Range road bikes are faster and more powerful than ever, and riders continually demonstrate what bikes with drop handlebars are capable of. X-Range offers a greater gear range as well as a more comfortable and usable gear gradation, and with AXS, it also includes smart, programmable shifting settings.

The unit consisting of the crankshaft and bottom bracket is the heart of DUB technology. Here, stiffness meets durability. SRAM's engineers have gone a step further, making everything simpler and better. It is primarily the system approach through the integration of chainring, crank, spindle, and bottom bracket that results in better drivetrain performance.
