Compared to the very taut and slim-cut Ergowave models, the 621 Ergolux active offers more volume in the padding, so the foam can become slightly softer. Due to the double shaft, the contact surface is considerably larger than before, which means that the seat bones sink in less deeply. The disadvantages that normally occur with softer foams due to the sinking of the seat bones are not present with Ergolux. From now on, the 602 Ergolux and 621 Ergolux models will be delivered with a new damper. The new shock absorber is made of the well-known Infinergy material from BASF, which has proven itself in running shoes. This E-TPU offers improved damping performance at low weight and long durability. The new modified shape of the damper allows for significantly more active movement, with the first stage accommodating the rear part of the seat bones and providing perfect support for improved power transmission to the pedal. The second stage optimally accommodates the ischium branches already relieved of load and thus ensures the best possible distribution of pressure. The perineum and the front area of the pubic bones and the pubic arch are given more space by the saddle nose, which is lowered once again.
