The 16° backsweep (bend backward) ensures a straight transition from the forearm to the hand, which is particularly important for handlebar widths starting at 700 mm. The 10 mm forward stretch nearly compensates for the shortening caused by the 16° bend. The 5° upsweep (bend upward) positions the elbows in an optimal riding dynamics position. The best materials, carefully and precisely bent and processed, make the SQlab 311 one of the highest quality handlebars on the market. The bend of the 311 is largely derived from motocross sports, where similar high backsweep and upsweep are utilized. Only when the ergonomics fit 100% can maximum speed with correspondingly high body strain be sustained in the long term. The handlebar is not approved for use in bike parks and downhill.
