How Sprindex works:
The spring hardness of a spring is the force required to compress the spring by a certain distance. The spring hardness is determined by four properties: wire diameter, coil diameter, material, and the number of active coils. More active coils result in a lower spring hardness, while fewer active coils lead to a higher spring hardness. By turning the Sprindex index, Sprindex changes the number of active coils that can be compressed. The set spring hardness is displayed through a window in the index.
