With the Sport-Thieme Shot Put School, children and teenagers can learn the technique of shot putting. This shot put is made of cast iron and is specifically designed for training in clubs or school sports. Depending on the age group, different weights of shot puts are used.

Shot puts come in various weight classes. In competitions, women use a 4 kg shot put, while men use a 7.26 kg shot put. Children and teenagers are not yet able to use these heavier shot puts. For boys, the required weight varies by age group between 4 and 6 kg. Girls under 18 always use a 3 kg shot put.
