Shimano E-Thru axle with 12 x 148 mm for use with Boost rear hubs. E-Thru axle: The tool-free thru-axle system optimizes strength and load distribution, ensuring smooth operation through a reliable internal cam mechanism. The 15 mm thru-axle system is 15% more resistant to torsional forces and 25% more resistant to lateral shear forces than a conventional 9 mm front axle system with quick release. The consistently high strength is well balanced with the weight. The E-Thru axle hub system minimizes suspension twisting while being light enough for sharp corners at high speeds. Alternatively available is an 8 mm thru-axle system for trekking/ATB hubs or hub dynamos, as well as a 12 mm thru-axle system for the rear wheel.
