Shimano Disc Metal Brake Pads M06 made of sintered metal, compatible with many Shimano brakes. Metal pads have a longer lifespan compared to plastic pads, are more resistant to fading, and provide consistent braking performance in both dry and wet conditions. However, metal pads may produce noise when braking. Plastic pads are quieter than metal pads but offer lower performance and have a higher wear rate. The plastic version (Resin) is factory-installed by Shimano on models such as XTR, XT, and LX, while the metal pad is used on the Saint and Hone models.
