Product details
The GE900 from Shimano is the perfect mountain bike shoe for you if you love adrenaline-fuelled, rough descents. Design and functionality have been developed with the needs of enduro and downhill riders in mind. The SPD cleat is positioned in the midfoot area, which ensures good stability. The rubber compound and the profile of the sole are optimised for the best grip on the bike and off-road when walking, so that you can accelerate without hesitation when gravity biking without ever losing control. The pedal channel of the cleat extends from the toe to the heel area so that you are stable on the bike even when unclipped. The carbon-reinforced midsole enables optimum power transmission. As things can get a bit wild on tough descents, you will appreciate the good fit offered by the BOA closure system with twist lock. Additional protective features against gravel and dirt, such as the elasticated mesh ankle shaft, are also welcome additions. The Torbal torsion plate offers a little more flexibility on the outsides for improved control on fast descents and sharp turns. In combination with the multi-layer EVA midsole, this also provides extra shock absorption and comfort.
