Product details
With its quick accessibility and smooth operation, SHIMANO's Deore Rapidfire Plus shifter ensures seamless control on the trail.
2-Way Release
The release lever of a Rapidfire Plus shifter is often referred to as a trigger because it is pulled towards the grip like a gun's trigger. The release lever of the Rapidfire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in the same way. Additionally, it can also be shifted using a thumb push.
Rapidfire Plus
Since 1985, Rapidfire Plus has been used by mountain bikers. It remains the first choice for various rider groups, ranging from XC racers to freeriders and downhillers. Rapidfire Plus is designed for quick shifting, allowing the rider to downshift by up to three gears with a single shift stroke. All Rapidfire Plus shifters, from Shimano Deore to XTR, are equipped with 2-Way Release, meaning the shift cable can be released by pulling with the index finger or pressing with the thumb.
Optical Gear Display
The Optical Gear Display shows the rider the currently engaged gear. The rider can see how many gears are still available to shift up or down, allowing for more conscious shifting.
