Product details
The Taiga is Seeland’s warmest hunting jacket, inspired by the coldest parts of Siberia. This ultrawarm jacket is designed to withstand icy weather, making it ideal for stand-hunting or snowmobile travel. It is waterproof and features a WindBeater membrane, along with 250 grams of the thickest available wadding. The interior includes microfleece in the jacket and hood for added warmth, while the polyester lining in the sleeves facilitates easy arm insertion.
The jacket incorporates groundbreaking Thinsulate technology, which uses fine microfibres to retain warm air molecules. Once the body warms up, Thinsulate helps maintain temperature while allowing moisture to wick through its outer membrane. The jacket has a removable hood with a higher collar to fully enclose the wearer and keep out the cold. Areas prone to wear are reinforced for extra durability, and the lower part is made from water-repellent Oxford nylon.
It includes several practical pockets: a radio pocket, a fleece-lined handwarmer, an inside pocket, and two large front pockets with quick load straps, plus a pocket behind the front pockets for resting your shooting arm. Additional features include a two-way zip, press studs, an adjustable hood, adjustable wrists and hem, and soft storm cuffs with thumbholes to block out the wind. When combined with the Taiga trousers and mittens, this jacket creates an exceptionally insulating hunting suit, suitable for both rifle and shotgun use, even in subzero temperatures.
