Seeland Taiga jacket

The Taiga is Seeland’s warmest hunting jacket. Named after the pine forest that covers much of Siberia, this ultrawarm jacket is designed to withstand the coldest, icy weather. It is ideal for stand-hunting, where you may need to sit tight for hours, or for traveling by snowmobile. The jacket is waterproof and features a WindBeater membrane, along with 250 grams of wadding, which is the thickest available. Inside, it has microfleece in the jacket and hood to retain warmth, while the polyester lining in the sleeves allows for easy arm insertion.

The jacket incorporates groundbreaking Thinsulate technology, which uses an insulating membrane made of fine microfibers to retain warm air molecules. Once the body warms up, Thinsulate helps maintain the temperature while allowing moisture to wick through its outer membrane. The jacket includes a removable hood with a higher collar, providing full enclosure to keep the cold out when necessary. Areas most subject to wear are reinforced for added durability, and the lower part of the jacket is made from water-repellent Oxford nylon.

It also features several handy pockets: a radio pocket, a fleece-lined handwarmer pocket, an inside pocket, and two large front pockets with quick load straps, along with a pocket behind the front pockets for resting your shooting arm. Additional features include a two-way zip, press studs, an adjustable hood, adjustable wrists and hem, and soft storm cuffs with thumbholes to block out the wind. When combined with the Taiga trousers and mittens, this jacket creates an exceedingly insulating hunting suit suitable for both rifle and shotgun use, even in well-below-freezing temperatures.
