An important factor for puncture safety, alongside tires and tubes, is the rim tape. It protects the tire from mechanical influences such as spoke heads or metal shavings in the rim and neatly covers the holes of the spoke holes. The Schwalbe High-Pressure Rim Tape is already pre-measured for various tire sizes. The width of the rim tape is determined by the inner width of the rim. The rim tape should be approximately 2-4 mm wider than the inner measurement (bead seat width) of your rim.
