The lightweight synthetic upper and the heavily profiled Vibram® outsole with a high rock guard create a balance between low weight and maximum grip. The unprofiled Climbing Zone at the front allows for optimal hold on edges while climbing. Speaking of hold: the foot also needs to be well secured, which is ensured in the Mescalito Planet by the lacing that extends far forward, featuring smooth metal eyelets and soft padding on the tongue and collar.
