Lightweight, protective and waterproof overpants for men made from a hybrid Powertex® construction for trekking and backpackingThe Puez Powertex Hybrid Overpants combine comfort, minimal pack size and protection for any activity in changeable weather conditions. We use two different versions of our tried-and-tested laminated, weatherproof fabric in the overpants: the three-layer Powertex® ripstop inserts provide increased weather protection, while the lighter, 2.5-layer Powertex® ripstop material ensures freedom of movement with a very small pack size. Both materials are completely waterproof with a water column of 10,000 millimetres, which describes the pressure at which water can penetrate the material. High vapour permeability is guaranteed with a breathability of 10,000 g/m2/24h, even on intensive climbs. The trousers also have fully taped seams. The slim, tailored cut and the trouser hem, which can be adjusted using a press stud, ensure an ideal, snug fit. Thanks to the full-length side zips on both sides, the trousers can be put on and taken off in a flash if the weather suddenly changes - without having to take off your shoes. As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the trousers are produced according to our additional environmental and sustainability standards to minimise their ecological footprint. All materials used are made from 100 per cent recycled polyester and have a PFC-free, water-repellent DWR (durable water repellent) finish that allows water to permanently bead up on the fabric without harming the environment.
