Our Ortles Light 2 down jacket with hood is an exceptionally lightweight, wind-resistant, and water-repellent insulation jacket for alpine activities such as mountaineering, skiing, glacier tours, and ice climbing. Developed in collaboration with renowned mountain guide associations in the Alps, it offers professional insulation and functionality. It is designed according to our body-mapping system and is equipped with a 750 cuin 90/10 down filling combined with Polartec® Alpha® active insulation, which we strategically place to meet the specific insulation needs of different body zones. The lightweight yet durable nylon ripstop outer fabric is ideal for alpine activities. SALEWA® uses only down certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). It features an insulated, close-fitting hood with an integrated collar. Our Free Motion cut construction and ergonomic sleeves prevent the hem from riding up while climbing. The jacket can be worn as a warming outer layer or as an insulating mid-layer. Additionally, it can be packed compactly and space-efficiently in your backpack.
