Product details

Alpine mixed routes on rock, ice and snow are some of the most demanding endeavours in mountain sports - whether in the Dolomites or in the remotest corners of the world. During such activities, we need to be able to fully rely on our clothing to keep our bodies ideally protected during the fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures.

This revised model of our established Ortles Hybrid TirolWool® Responsive jacket impresses with its proven hybrid body mapping structure: Durastretch inserts are used on the back and sides, which are particularly comfortable to wear thanks to the wool content (22 per cent) and ensure freedom of movement thanks to the elastane. There are also strategically placed insulation areas made from TirolWool® Repsonsive, which ensure excellent thermoregulation of the body and can keep you warm even when wet.

The TirolWool® Responsive material used is made from valuable wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep and the insulation material is finished with Responsive yarns. The yarns contain thermoreactive minerals that recycle the far infrared energy (FIR) emitted by the body and slowly release it again. This creates lasting, long-lasting warmth. If it gets stormy or really cold, the close-fitting, insulated hood, which can be adjusted at the back, offers additional weather protection. If the temperature - or the intensity - rises, the jacket can be quickly stowed away in its own pocket.

As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the jacket has a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. In addition, the Durastretch material consists of 22 per cent fine merino wool, which guarantees a pleasant wearing comfort on the skin.

The Ortles Hybrid TirolWool® Responsive Jacket is our most versatile insulation jacket, which has been specially developed for the high demands of alpine mountaineering with its high freedom of movement and thermo-regulating material properties.
