The Ortles Heavy Down Jacket has been developed based on detailed feedback from our alpine athletes and mountain guides. This down jacket is exceptionally warm and offers great freedom of movement thanks to its free-motion cut with ergonomically shaped sleeves and shoulders.

Water-Repellent Protection
The extremely robust, 2-layer ripstop Powertex shell membrane features a high-quality DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) and provides optimal protection in all weather conditions. For insulation, we use a high-quality 90/10 down filling made from pure down with a fill power of 750 cuin. A 3D chamber construction keeps the down in place, and the inner lining is made from a lightweight, soft fabric. The down meets the Responsible Down Standard and comes from independently certified and traceable sources.

Functional Features
Among the outstanding functional features of this jacket is the hood, which offers an optimal fit both with and without a helmet thanks to the clever zipper wedge. The hood can be perfectly adjusted with drawstrings at the front and back and is integrated into the high collar. It also has internal drawcords at the neck and around the face for additional protection in stormy weather. The 2-way front zipper allows excellent access to the climbing harness and belay device if worn under the jacket. Two cuffs at the hem and a windproof gaiter prevent cold drafts from entering and trap core warmth. With their wider opening that can be tightened securely with a practical Velcro closure, the cuffs are well-suited for large, thick winter gloves.
