Our MTN Trainer 2 was designed in Montebelluna, the cradle of alpine footwear craftsmanship. It is a robust and versatile shoe with a low shaft for alpine approaches and is characterized by a high-quality, 1.6 mm thick suede upper and a Vibram outsole.

Its robust upper features a protective rubber rand for 360° abrasion resistance on rocky terrain and footholds and a quick-drying GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining for durable water protection and optimized breathability. It is equipped with a protective, elasticated gaiter under the laces to protect against rain and water. The improved last construction is 15% lighter and more flexible than the original and offers a comfortable fit. The PU midsole provides long-lasting shock absorption and rebound.

The multifunctional Vibram outsole provides agility and stability on rugged terrain. Its deep, self-cleaning grooves and aggressive lugs guarantee ideal grip on rocks and scree as well as optimum traction on mud and grass. The midfoot area features a special via ferrata profile with precise, right-angled lugs. These maximize the force applied via the foot for better grip on the rungs of metal ladders compared to a conventional shoe.

Our signature 3F system connects the instep area to the sole and heel, ensuring flexibility, proper fit, and firm support. A cushioned OrthoLite footbed wicks away moisture and helps keep your feet cool. The climbing shoe lacing system can also be precisely adjusted in the toe area for better precision and grip on technical terrain.

The MTN Trainer is made in Europe and offers the perfect alpine approach solution for technical hikes, via ferratas, and trekking tours in all conditions on difficult terrain.
