The WCS Apex 38 wheelset features 38 mm high monocoque carbon rims made using Ritchey's proprietary manufacturing process. The tubeless rim bed allows for the rolling quality of high-volume tires on any road, gravel, or cyclocross course. This makes the Apex perfect for cyclocross use, but also suitable for daily road cycling outings. Heat-resistant plastics, combined with a resin compound, optimize the stability of the brake tracks. Ritchey's Phantom hubs combine lightness with absolute weight reduction. By eliminating the flange in the hubs, thanks to the combined advantages of standard spokes and straight-pull spokes, weight is saved without compromising stiffness. The rear hub features premium bearings and 6 pawls that engage in the 12-point micro engagement.
