The Swedish-speaking author and artist Tove Jansson, who grew up in Finland, gained worldwide fame as the creator of the Moomin stories. The Moomins are a family of adventurous trolls living in Moominvalley alongside their friends. The tales of these white, hippo-like creatures with their large snouts were written between 1945 and 1980 and have since been translated into more than fifty languages. The designs of the AW21 collection are inspired by the stories from "Moomin's Long Journey." In the book, we read about Moomin and Moominmamma, who find themselves in a dense, dark forest where the rain is pattering down. They are searching for Moominpappa, who has gone missing, and they are also looking for a dry spot where they can build a house and spend the winter. In the forest, they meet their friend Snufkin, who would like to join them on their adventure. A large bird helps them along the way.
