Merino wool is ideal for baselayers in cold weather. Because it can absorb moisture, it is excellent at wicking sweat away from the skin to maintain comfort and regulate body temperature. It also insulates great when wet, although it can take a while to dry.The man-made synthetic fibres are tough, durable, lightweight and retain their shape. They can also dry extremely quickly.
