Merino wool is ideal for base layers in cold weather. It can absorb moisture and effectively transports sweat away from the skin, ensuring comfort and regulating body temperature. It also insulates well when wet, although it may take some time to dry. The artificially manufactured synthetic fibers are durable, long-lasting, lightweight, and shape-retaining. They dry extremely quickly. This quick-drying, moisture-wicking, insulating, and durable material blend is perfect for base layers in the mountains.
