The garment was tested for two hours with 60 liters of water per m² per hour in a rain chamber, simulating a heavy thunderstorm in the mountains. A material with a water impermeability of 5,000 mm water column can withstand a pressure of 5,000 mm – this is roughly equivalent to a downpour lasting 2 hours. Waterproofness is indicated as a water column (e.g., 5,000 mm water column).

The breathability of a fabric is determined based on its vapor permeability (RET, Resistance to Evaporative Transfer, tested according to ISO 11092). The higher the permeability, the less resistance the fabric offers to the water vapor generated during physical activity. Low resistance means high breathability. Example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable / RET: 9–12 = very breathable / RET: 12–20 = breathable / RET > 20 = low to no breathability.

This product has undergone numerous laboratory tests: abrasion resistance, shape and color stability, and premature wear due to repeated washing were checked to ensure top quality.
