Our development team designed this shoe for occasional short hikes in dry weather. This lightweight shoe features precise lacing that ensures comfort and good grip in varied terrain with minimal elevation changes. This hiking shoe offers a certain level of breathability, but not enough to wick away all sweat. Therefore, we recommend wearing the mid-height Hike 50 hiking socks: they are made from absorbent cotton and have a terry sole that draws moisture away from the foot. At the same time, the socks are high enough to protect the ankle from the shoe. This clever combination significantly reduces the risk of blisters. In laboratory tests, the following aspects are examined: processing of eyelets and straps, adhesive joints, toxic substances, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of the sole and upper, and material aging. Through these tests, we can improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear. The sole design is the result of extensive research in our laboratories. The special rubber variant provides optimized grip and traction. We ensure that the sole is balanced in its composition to meet the varying demands of forest or coastal paths. Wearing the shoes on roads can accelerate wear and tear and reduce comfort. The shoes are not suitable for high-altitude hikes.
