The EVO handlebar is ProTaper's unreinforced flagship handlebar. Handlebars with an oversized diameter and without cross braces were invented and patented by ProTaper in 1991. Without compromising on strength, this design offers greater flexibility and shock absorption compared to conventional handlebars, providing the rider with improved comfort and less fatigue. Utilizing a construction made from a high-quality 7000 series aluminum alloy and a computer-profiled wall design with a thickness of four millimeters, the EVO handlebar is up to 25% lighter and 45% stronger than competing handlebars.
