The tread design is optimally tailored to the requirements of XC trails. Ideal for artificially constructed, technically demanding sections and natural terrain with hard gravel or loose rock. The RC was designed for racing, aimed at riders who want to master their bike on technically challenging tracks and maximize their speed. Thanks to the SmartGRIP compound, the XC RC is very durable and reliable. The tread of the Scorpion™ XC RC was developed in collaboration with XCO World Cup athletes: low and thick center knobs for the best rolling efficiency, and higher side knobs for cornering control. A tread design without compromises.

Obwohl vergleichsweise „zahnlos", generiert der RC viel Grip am Heck, das klebrige Gummi greift an Wurzeln beherzt zu. An trockenen Tagen auch vorne sehr gut. Der Italo-Pneu rollt gut, die Pannenschutzwerte liegen im Mittelfeld (Durchstich) und auf Top-Niveau (Stichtest).
