It can also be used for fall prevention in older individuals, patients with mobility impairments after strokes, or people with balance disorders. Spacers between the extra-long footplates and the wheels increase freedom of movement. The additional space allows for a wider stance for greater stability. Continuously adjustable side supports with handrails give the patient the opportunity to hold on and lean for support. They enhance safety and enable use by individuals with movement limitations and balance issues. For indoor use, the Pedalo Reha-Bar features easily replaceable wheels with white rubber tires that are particularly gentle on floors and leave no marks.
