Product details
A Performance Instrument
The AW2 is a low-top shoe that offers you complete freedom of movement. However, it is no less secure: TPU inserts in the outer forefoot and heel provide stability. The synthetic upper material and the two non-slip heel pads ensure that your feet stay securely in the shoe. The outsole features herringbone traction in the midfoot area and multidirectional traction in the forefoot and heel areas.
An Innovative Structure
A novel system called "Three Core" is integrated into the shoe. The concept behind it? A unique midsole made up of three stacked technologies: "P-Ultralight" cushioning on top and "Taichi" cushioning on the bottom. Between the two foams, a "Foothold+" carbon plate is inserted. The purpose? To absorb impact during jumps and accelerations and then provide you with an immediate feeling of propulsion, like a catapult. The energy transfer between these three layers guarantees you two things: the unmatched explosiveness that you will consistently demonstrate and reduced muscle fatigue in your feet and legs.
Personal Accolades
The AW2 incorporates the story of Andrew Wiggins to highlight the shoe's individuality. In addition to the logo on the TPU insert at the heel, the shoe features personal elements associated with Maple Jordan, such as Wiggins' signature on the lace loop and his number 22 on the top tongue and the strap at the back of the shoe. Wiggins also wants to pay tribute to his family and remind others of his success story with additional elements on the outsole.
