The Dermizax® NX 3-layer construction protects against extreme weather conditions, while the technical design focuses entirely on the needs of high-altitude mountaineers. The outer material, featuring the highly effective Dermizax® NX membrane, is completely windproof and waterproof, without compromising breathability and freedom of movement. The high-reach performance fit of the WESTALPEN 3L LIGHT mountaineering jacket ensures an ideal fit during any movement on ice, snow, or mixed terrain. Additional features such as the extra-large front pockets, the high-cut collar, and the helmet-compatible, two-way adjustable hood with horizontal and vertical adjustment options provide the lightweight 3L hardshell with everything an alpinist needs. The mesh lining in the front pockets allows for better air circulation. For a comfortable feel around the chin and neck area, the jacket includes 120 MERINO TEC inserts. With the Dermizax® NX membrane from Toray, the 3-layer SHELL LIGHT material offers maximum wind and water protection and high breathability (min. 25,000 g/m²/24h) at a low weight (82 g/m²). No PTFE is used, and the poreless construction of the membrane increases water vapor permeability.
