Ortovox STEEL 320+ PFA

The probe of all rescue organizations. The Steel 320 + PFA is the extendable professional probe made of steel with a PFA system, measuring 320 cm in length. Thanks to the optimized PFA system, the professional probe can be tensioned quickly and is also more compact in packing size. The quick tension loop tightens the probe using a robust steel cable pull, preventing any shifting of the elements. Like all probes, the professional probe features easily readable depth markings, a clear 1-meter marking, and the lowest segment in neon orange, which provides a visual indication of the proximity to the buried person. The steel segment diameter of 12 mm makes the Steel 320 + PFA extremely durable and stiff. It comes in a length of 320 cm but can be easily extended with additional segments. The new, improved rubberized grip also ensures safe, ice-free handling in all conditions.

PFA Quick Tension System 2.0 – the successor to the often-copied quick tension system is now slimmer and more pack-friendly while maintaining the same continuously proven clamping performance. With the new quick tension loop, the probe can be tensioned directly from the case. It is released by pressing against the system cover with your thumb.

Ergonomic grip – the thin and lightweight rubber coating provides a perfect hold for quickly tensioning the probe.

Visual guidance system – the intuitive visual guidance system gives you a quick and clear indication of the burial depth at any time, thanks to the clear 1 m marking.
