Thanks to the patented Smart Antenna technology, buried individuals are located much faster with the Diract: the device analyzes its position in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna. At Ortovox, this state-of-the-art 3-antenna technology is systematically used, as well as the automatic switching in the event of a secondary avalanche. In addition to Send and Search modes, there is also a standby mode to neutralize the signal during the search process. Our beginner probe with Quick-Lock system: The ALU 240 is stripped down to the essentials. The Quick-Lock system allows for quick and easy assembly. It can be put together in seconds and just as quickly unlocked and stored away. The optimized adjustment screw enables quick tension adjustment with a simple turn of the screw. The voluminous tip has a slightly larger diameter than the rest of the probe, allowing for better penetration. Its weight of only 200 g is made possible by the use of aluminum with a diameter of 11 mm.
