Ortovox CARBON 280+ PFA

Carbon is lightweight and stiff, making it the ideal material for high-end probes. The lightweight carbon probe has a length of 280 cm and includes all the features of a true professional probe. It is extendable, which makes it the first choice for many rescue organizations and mountain guides. With a diameter of 13 mm combined with the carbon material, it is incredibly stiff, break-resistant, and precise. Additionally, it features a steel cable pull system that guarantees maximum rigidity. Thanks to the PFA quick-tension system, it can be tensioned in seconds and just as easily released and folded. The rubberized grip also ensures safe, ice-free handling in all conditions. Like all Ortovox probes, the CARBON 280+ PFA has a visual guiding system with depth markings and a clear 1-meter marking. It also comes in an optimized quick-release case.

The PFA quick-tension system 2.0 is the successor to the often-copied quick-tension system and has become slimmer and more pack-friendly while maintaining the same continuously proven clamping performance. With the new quick-tension loop, the probe can be tensioned directly out of the case. It is relaxed by pressing against the system cover with the thumb.

The thin and lightweight rubber coating of the ergonomic grip provides perfect hold for quickly tensioning the probe. The intuitive visual guiding system gives a quick and clear indication of the burial depth at any time, thanks to the distinct 1-meter marking.
