On Running Cloud X

The ultra-light ON Cloud X running shoes provide you with a "cloud-like" running experience thanks to their CloudTec sole derived from the Cloud, offering slightly increased firmness. Seemingly contradictory features such as soft landing cushioning, smooth rolling, and efficient power transfer during push-off are realized through a special construction of individually tuned, two-row arranged stud elements, known as "Clouds," in a well-thought-out system. The Cloud X variant offers optimized all-around properties for athletic use, achieving impressive results from the road to moderate trails, clearly distinguishing itself from a pure sneaker image. The airy Helion Superfoam and the unique geometry of the hollow Clouds, designed for high compressibility, allow for soft landings while still providing agile responsiveness. Once compressed, the compact sole, in conjunction with the elastic stabilizer known as the "Speedboard," enables a powerful push-off. Additionally, the sole construction remains very flexible due to the deep notches, supporting an individual movement pattern. The running sole achieves improved self-cleaning properties through the extended chamfers in the central channel, preventing stones from getting stuck in the tread. The robust rubber elements of the sole also ensure excellent durability. Other advantages of the Cloud X include its sock-like fit with purposefully stabilized upper material, its supportive heel cap with inner padding, and the thoughtful lacing system for a precise fit.
