Upper: An open mesh upper made from bio-dyneema and recycled material is strong and light as a feather. The fabric ensures optimum breathability and fast water drainage. Midsole: The 005 features a completely pure Arnitel (TPEE) midsole, the likes of which has never been used in a shoe before. This makes the 005 lightweight and responsive, yet durable. While most supershoes are designed for race day, the 005 is designed for race day - plural. Outsole: A brand new, full-length, one-piece outsole with the world's first release of Vibram Mega Grip Elite rubber. This is the grippiest and lightest rubber compound ever developed by Vibram. The increased traction of Mega Grip Elite allows for different lug heights, enabling seamless transitions between technical trails and natural roads. Fit/Feel: The 005 features a proprietary fit-lock system designed for race day. The heel collar features PODs to lock the foot in place, increase comfort and prevent debris from entering. The tongue is made of smooth, perforated microsuede that moulds to the foot and allows heat to escape during high-intensity running. The Fit-Lock system is complemented by a new inner-foot binding technology that is activated via the laces and enables lasting stability.
