The innovative Michelin Protek Max bicycle tube can autonomously prevent air loss from tire damage caused by punctures. Its specially shaped rubber beads on the tread and circular knobs on the sidewall compress the hole created by a puncture and additionally seal it with special puncture milk inside the tube. Furthermore, the patented tube is characterized by its exceptionally high air pressure stability. Compared to the classic Michelin Airstop, the new Michelin Protek Max maintains tire pressure for about twice as long and therefore needs to be inflated less frequently. Thanks to its relatively angular shape, the new tube sits straight and evenly in the rim bed during installation, significantly easing the mounting process. Additionally, it cannot slip within the tire. As a result, installation damage due to a twisted or pinched tube is practically eliminated with the new Michelin Protek Max.
