Merrell Speed Strike 2

The Merrell Speed Strike 2 Gtx is a lightweight and durable approach shoe for men, designed for fast hiking and climbing on mixed terrain. This model is the successor to the popular Speed-Strike series and features a low shaft for freedom of movement and a precise fit. The upper combines breathable mesh with abrasion-resistant overlays, reinforced at the toe for protection against rocks. The GORE-TEX waterproof membrane ensures dry feet in wet conditions while maintaining breathability. A traditional lacing system with lace lock secures the foot in place. The padded collar and tongue provide comfort, and the removable anatomical insole offers arch support. The midsole is made of lightweight EVA foam for cushioning, while the Vibram outsole provides excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The outsole features a climbing zone at the toe for precision in technical sections. The shoe weighs approximately 400 g per shoe (size 42) and has a heel-to-toe drop of 6 mm. It is available in size 48 (EU), which corresponds to a foot length of about 31.5 cm. Ideal for fast hiking, via ferratas, and approaches.
