Product details
The Assegai is the ultimate downhill tyre, which was co-developed by former downhill world champion Greg Minnaar. He has channelled all his many years of experience in racing into this tyre. The basic idea behind it was to get the best out of existing Maxxis tread patterns. The good-running lugs from the Minion DHF and Minion DHR II were implemented in the centre of the tread. This provides excellent rolling on hard surfaces, but also grip on wet roots and stones. The HighRoller's slightly remodelled side lugs take care of fast corners. These give you a clearly defined limit range and sufficient reserves at all times. Finally, the Shorty adds its tread height and ensures sufficient traction even on deep forest floors. With this intelligent mix, you can really let it rip.
