Eco Softlock: All Macron garments are made from eco-friendly textiles derived from 100% recycled polyester fibers sourced from PET, certified according to the Global Recycle Standard. PET, derived from petroleum or natural gas, is a 100% recyclable material that re-enters the market as new ecological products. Specifically, the PET collected after its first use is processed into 2 mm flakes and then further processed to obtain a fiber that guarantees the same properties as virgin material. The fiber does not lose its primary characteristics during processing and can therefore be recycled multiple times. Additionally, recycled polyester from PET consumes less energy during the production chain compared to virgin polyester. For instance, 13 plastic bottles with a capacity of 0.5 liters are needed to produce one shirt.
