Product details
The Lunt LS40THa/B1200 H-Alpha Solar Telescope is a complete system for solar observation in H-Alpha light, featuring a 40 mm aperture with no central obstruction and a focal length of 400 mm. This telescope allows for detailed observation of solar prominences at the solar limb, filaments, and solar eruptions on the surface, as well as other dynamic solar phenomena. It is equipped with an etalon filter with mechanical tilt adjustment for precise wavelength control and a helical focuser with a 1.25-inch connection. The integrated B1200 blocking filter is optimized for visual observation, providing minimal edge shading and a large field of view. With a compact design of 41 cm in length and a weight of 1.2 kg, it is suitable for both beginners in solar astronomy and experienced observers looking for a portable option. The telescope comes with a solar finder, a prism rail compatible with standard GP mounts, and a 1/4-20 thread for tripod attachment. Photography is challenging due to very limited back focus and requires specialized astro cameras with short sensor distances. This model belongs to the LS40THa series, which can include various blocking filters such as B500 or B600, and is available in a white finish.
