Firstly, it makes it easier to be seen by drivers on the road, reducing the likelihood of being overlooked by parked cars or other obstacles. Secondly, the light on your helmet makes it easier for drivers to recognise where you are looking and to approach you safely. Chips On Board (COB) is an LED design process that offers several advantages over conventional technologies. It allows for a more compact design with higher light intensity, which means you can be seen from further away. It also results in a more uniform beam of light. We consider it our best LED technology to date. The Lumos Ultra will also be available in a Mips version, which integrates an additional safety function in the helmet to provide extra protection against rotational movement in the event of an impact.
