Thanks to its particularly grippy sole and the climbing zone in the toe area, which is suitable for use on the wall, the La Sportiva Boulder X is especially well-suited for technical approaches and via ferratas. The upper is made of suede leather with a rubber rand all around for maximum protection against wear during climbing. The patented lacing system, derived from the design of the Mythos climbing shoe, ensures an asymmetrical fit. The sole, featuring a new Vibram concept, enhances grip during climbing, while the Impact Brake System provides more stability during descents. The use of soft 2 mm thick EVA has shock-absorbing properties.

The Impact Brake System is an innovative system attached to the sole that dampens impact, aids in ascending, and prevents slipping during descents.
