Product details

77mm XD (ED) lens with low chromatic aberration. Lightweight, durable magnesium alloy housing. Dual fast/fine focus. Digiscoping capable with built-in accessory ring. Selection of compatible accessories to expand the system. Please note that an eyepiece is required to use the spotting scope. The Kowa 77mm spotting scope with XD lens offers superior performance in a compact body. The performance and compactness of these scopes are unmatched in this class. The housing is waterproof to JIS protection class 7 and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging. The PROMINAR models TSN-773/774 use an XD lens with low dispersion properties to minimize chromatic aberration. It is equipped with the established Kowa dual focus system. The smaller, extremely sensitive fine focus knob ensures highly precise focusing even at high magnifications, a feature that is also crucial for digiscoping. By combining an XD lens (eXtra-Low-Dispersion lens) with a concave lens with special dispersion properties, chromatic aberration is significantly reduced.
