The K2 Mindbender 100 is the little brother of the Mindbender 130. It features a softer flex (100 instead of 130), a slightly wider last (100 instead of 98 millimeters), and a more affordable liner. Weighing in at 1700 grams (in size 26.5), it is still made entirely from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). Polyurethane is the most popular material for ski boots because it offers a super progressive flex, is extremely durable, and can be relatively easily adapted to different foot shapes (boot fitting). The Powerlite shell and LuxFit Pro Tour liner can be thermally customized to fit your foot. The Mindbender 100 is quite soft at room temperature. However, be cautious not to be misled during the fitting in the store; at cold temperatures in the snow, the TPU material becomes significantly stiffer. You can also use this boot for touring. The walk mechanism is efficient, and the 50-degree cuff rotation is usually sufficient. You will certainly feel the slightly higher weight during ascents.
