ION's top-class, race-oriented clipless bike shoe. The Rascal Select offers much more than uncompromising power transfer to the pedal: its construction combines stiffness along the longitudinal axis with flexibility in the transverse axis and the shaft. This torsional construction principle helps prevent the foot from rolling off the pedal. Special climbing and pedal zones on the outsole ensure reliable grip both on and off the pedal. The BOA Fit System on the upper instep provides quick, effortless, and precise adjustment of the fit. Thanks to this system, a seamless connection between gear and rider can be established, enhancing speed and agility. While the inner lining feels soft when putting on the shoes, it shows its rough side if the heel slips out of the shoe. The one-directionally brushed inner lining keeps the heel where it belongs – in the shoe. Since the Rascal Select is designed for downhill-oriented riding, ION has positioned the cleat area further back compared to all-mountain-oriented shoes. The cushioning EVA midsole absorbs shocks and vibrations, while the rubberized heel and reinforced toe cap absorb forces should you catch your foot on rocks or roots. The asymmetrically shaped shaft protects the foot on the crank side while still allowing full freedom of movement. The robust PU main fabric ensures durability and a long lifespan for this premium shoe. Breathable mesh inserts in the forefoot area provide a comfortable climate inside the shoe.
