The competency-oriented teaching of sports games required in educational plans presents special challenges for teachers: Until now, there has been no sports game teaching model that is explicitly competency-oriented. This book introduces such a competency acquisition model for sports games for the first time. Furthermore, it provides a detailed description of how competency acquisition for the sport of soccer can be structured based on the model. The scientific foundation of the model is the connection between the concepts of competency-oriented physical education and the Tactical Games Approach. The practical section includes more than 100 pages: In line with the requirements of games from 1-on-1 to 3-on-3, numerous suggestions for competency-oriented lesson plans are provided, including graphically and methodologically prepared game and exercise forms as well as technical and tactical guidelines.
